Lo Scialà

In the last century, ferrous material from the nearby Vallone and Ginevro mines was loaded onto ships and departed for the mainland smelters from the very beach of Innamorata, called in ancient times the ‘cala de lo fero’.

The “scialà” were the iron carts used for transporting ore, and this is the name chosen for the Village’s main restaurant, a name that can pique the curiosity of guests so that the evocative history of our land will be known and loved by them as well. A short walk from the restaurant begins one of the trekking routes to the Mine Museum.
